Bannerlord cheats: Easy to use console commands for mount & blade 2 bannerlord

Bannerlord cheats all you need to know. This article will cover invoking console commands and overriding stats in game.

Bannerlord cheats

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is a game where battles can quickly become chaotic and difficult. Having some cheat codes and console commands ready can be really helpful when the game gets tough.

These cheats and commands include things like increase your money or level up your character or your party, increasing specific skills, making the game easier in the challenging world of Bannerlord. However, remember that using cheats and mods generally come with a side effect of causing issues in game. My personal recommendation is have multiple saves and also use it once you might have completed the campaign. Lets get started:

How to activate cheats in Bannerlord?

To enable cheats in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, do the following steps:

  • Go to Documents and find the folder Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord
  • In the folder, find the text file engine_config.txt
  • Open the text file in Notepad
  • In the text file, find the cheat_mode key initially it would be set to 0.
  • Change the value from 0 to a 1, save the file and restart the game
  • To verify whether everything worked or not, load a save and press Alt + ~ key on the keyboard, a new console window will open up.

** Note: These are the steps I performed on a steam install not sure if it would be different for other launchers just a heads up. Also I used cheats only in my offline playthrough.

Following is the folder which you need to seek

Just to recap the commands are added on the fly and this might not be the most updated list for the version you might be playing. Also my personal recommendation would be to not try these commands in the online mode. I haven’t personally played the online mode but I would recommend not doing it.
