Valve Strongly Urges Steam Deck Owners to Refrain from Inhaling Exhaust Fumes

Steam deck users kind of having fun their own way in 2023. In a rather unusual turn of events, Valve, the company behind the popular gaming device Steam Deck, has recently issued a public plea to its users. The request is straightforward yet unexpected:

Steam Deck

Valve is asking Steam Deck owners to stop inhaling exhaust fumes from their devices. Handheld consoles are becoming multipurpose I guess.

Where does the sniffing start for Steam Deck?

Well a reddit user by the name of metapod submitted a question and got a reply back from the steam support team for the same. I mean I kind of agree with him new stuff have a good smell including electronics, properly packed suits shirts. Heck even books have a really nice smell associated with them.

He is even correct about the part that there is a cult like following for the smell a new deck has. I found considerable number of posts, videos, discussions about the same online. Now I personally do not own a steam deck yet but is in my bucket list once I have enough capital for one. But yes it does make me more curious of what it has to offer. It does kind of have the vibe of gas on water.

The tough part: Is this a health hazard ?

Its all fun and games until you view the hospital bills. Everything that smells good doesn’t mean it is not a hazardous substance to inhale. Overexposure to something like this may cause some serious health impact as it has been stated in the support email as well.

We have seen these online challenges and trends becoming life threatening and nearly killing people in the process like the ‘Benadryl challenge’.

Final Thoughts

I mean its kind of an absurd story to begin with. Hopefully it never turns into something tragic for someone. Once in a while stories like this are surely entertaining to follow or read about but emulating the same can become fatal. Those who are left behind suffer.

  1. My coder is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on a
number of websites for about a year and am nervous about
switching to another platform. I have heard great things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can import all my wordpress posts into it?
Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
