New police system

Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 revamps the police system, with emphasis on transparency: “Criminal activity is punished, runners are chased, and cyberpsychos are flatlined, no questions asked,” stated CD Projekt Red

The magnitude and speed of the response of police officers will be correlated with the severity and the location of the crime. This could be murders in wealthy areas result in a swift and extensive police presence for instance. This has been mentioned by various gamers who got early access to review the DLC and update.

Vehicle combat

Players will be able to shoot guns while driving a vehicle or bicycle. Furthermore, some vehicles will be equipped with mounted weapons.

“Together with Phantom Liberty we’re introducing vehicle combat,” CD Project’s Pawel Burza. “You’ll be able to fire guns from your car or bike or use weapons, which are mounted on your car.”

New Skill Tree

Within the revamped skills tree system are many new benefits. The most intriguing ones that have been shown so far is an air dash, and the ability to ward off the bullets that are coming in with melee weapons along with several new finishing techniques, such as Savage Sling, in which V weaponsizes corpses of enemies.

The brand new Relic Skill Tree, meanwhile introduces a new set of cyber-related skills. These skills could either improve your cyber-security capabilities or even exploit the weaknesses of your adversaries. You can test the new skill trees available on the official Cyberpunk site prior to the launch of the expansions.

Conclusion

Do you want to preorder the DLC now? I would advise waiting for the results of the organic reviews. The update works smoothly, and there are even two gaming options where you may start the base game or right away get a leveled up character to start moving forward in the game, according to the YouTubers who tested the game but haven’t uploaded any in-game footage.

However, I believe that with expansions and improvements this significant that require new specs to run, we should wait. We saw what happened with the Witcher 3 next-gen upgrade.
