In preparation for the Pran Pratishtha celebration on January 22, a bookseller presented what is being termed the world’s Most expensive Ramayana at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. This ritual commemorates an important moment for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, occurring after about 400-500 years of wars and battles.

Introduction: Most Expensive Ramayana
Ayodhya is preparing to unveil a unique treasure: an exceptional copy of the Ramayana valued at ₹1.65 lakh, just in time for the Pran Pratishtha event at the Ram Mandir on January 22.
Manoj Sati, the bookseller, brought this unique edition to Ayodhya. This copy of the Ramayana, weighing around 45 kg and housed in a three-story box, is priced as India’s most expensive.

Significance of this Ramayana
The world’s most expensive Ramayana has all 24,000 original mūla-ślokas of the Valmiki Ramayana, making it even more unusual.
These verses are precisely presented in ten booklets, each with palm-leaf-inspired hardwood covers and gold edges. Furthermore, all seven kandas are translated into English and Hindi and presented in a narrative style.
Ayodhya Updates
Pilgrims are going to the sacred city to show their love, bringing unique offerings for Lord Ram. Notably, devotees from Chhattisgarh have transported ‘Sweet Ber’ from Shivrinarayan in Champa district. Seventeen devotees travelled to Ayodhya to hand deliver these fruits to the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust.
